Description
"Freeze Frame" is the working title of the movie that is planned to shoot later this year. Ben will play an Iraq Vet interviewed in prison by a Vietnam Vet doing a documentary for ABC. During the interview the confession comes out. Ben's character went into a bar in Morgan City, LA, and held it up with an unloaded gun. His objective, not to get money, but to get killed. When that didn't work he was sentenced to years in prison. The documentary causes a national fuss, Ben's character is sprung from prison. When he gets out he finds there's nowhere he can go where people don't know him, and know what he did... including his son from a broken marriage, who won't speak to him. Ben's character then comes after the documentarian to kill him, but what Ben's character really wants is to be killed. And what the documentarian really wants is to be killed for his sins in Vietnam. The movie is made after a true story and will be directed by Galit McCord. With very kind permission by the owner.

Ben is absolutely amazing and does justice to this snippet. He can do angst better than anyone. He breaks my heart in this and I can't wait to see more.

Sybil

I can't agree more with Sybil. I also like the camera work and strange juxtaposition of "Holly Jolly Christmas" with what is actually going on—the fact that Ben's character is confessing to snuffing out the lives and dreams of an Iraqi family in retaliation for the shooting of his soldier friends. Time moves forwards and back and little details pop out adding to Ben's enormously powerful confession. This obviously will be a serious and difficult movie to watch. I look forward to seeing it when it is completed. Thank you for sharing it with BBO.
